A message from the Young Republicans
January 31, 2012
76 YRs from the Commonwealth and DC contacted 68,147 voters during the 2011 election cycle with the goal of taking back power in the State Senate! Despite the challenges in Democratic-controlled redistricting, Republicans were successful in recapturing the State Senate, giving us control of all three statewide offices and both chambers in the General Assembly for only the second time in Virginia history! Congratulations State Senator Bill Stanley and State Senator-elect Bryce Reeves!
As young professionals and grassroots activists from around the Commonwealth we understand the importance of this election and its effect on future elections. Assisting Governor McDonnell to get a true conservative agenda into place is of the utmost importance. Young Republicans across the Commonwealth not only volunteered for our statewide Roanoke deployment program for Delegate Dave Nutter’s State Senate campaign as well as our regional Northern Virginia deployment, but have been involved throughout the cycle of many of the campaigns as managers, consultants, staffers and volunteers!
Here into 2012, our country and more importantly our commonwealth is at crucial crossroads. Will we continue the failed policies of the last four years, or will Virginia lead the conservative wave and replant itself as a true red state. With the United States Senate and the White House in play, Young Republicans are positioned to be the grassroots leaders around the commonwealth as we work together to turn Virginia RED in 2012!
Join us in our fight and together 2012 will be our third consecutive successful Republican election in November!
Most sincerely,
