Welcome to the Young Republican Federation of Virginia website!
The Young Republican Federation of Virginia (YRFV) is the governing body of the fourteen Young Republican clubs chartered across the Commonwealth. These clubs, which are totaled just under five hundred members, contacted 68,147 voters during the 2011 election cycle to help Republicans regain control of the Senate of Virginia! Part of that effort included a team of young professionals and grassroots activists, who made 6000 voter contacts in a weekend in Roanoke for Delegate Dave Nutter’s Senate campaign. Despite the challenges of Democratic-controlled redistricting, Republicans were successful in recapturing the Senate, giving the GOP control of all three statewide offices and both chambers of the General Assembly for only the second time since Reconstruction! Congratulation to the new members of the Senate Republican Caucus: Bryce Reeves, Bill Carrico, Tom Garrett and Dick Black.
As we turn to 2012, the President has said publicly that he expects young professionals to turn out this November for his reelection. We are determined to thwart that plan and put a conservative in the White House, flip the United States State and gain more members of the House! Although we hear it said by elected officials ever year, this November’s election is truly the most important. We have a choice. We can choose to endorse this President’s failed policies, or we can take a stand and send a message to Washington that we must take our country back.
